Tony's Biography
Now that you know a bit about Tony's business enterprises and this fabulous seaside resort of Pattaya, you are probably wondering just who is this Tony? Well, Tony ( Mr. Surapol Sanguanchartisorakrai ) was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Tony's Father, Lak Sanguanchartisorakrai was a Thai military General and while growing up, Tony traveled widely with his family. In his teens, he played music with one of the most popular bands in Thailand, “The Dynamics”. Then, upon finishing high school, his parents sent him abroad to the U.S.A for a college education.
While in the U.S.A., Tony spent nearly 20 years traveling and performing as the leader of a show band called "Tony and Friends". Tony and the band toured all over America. He eventually settled down in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he opened a very successful nightclub that he named after his band, calling it "Tony and Friends". It was a popular spot for locals and tourists for more than six years.
In 1998 an opportunity presented itself for Tony to return to his home, Thailand. As usual the hard working Tony immediately formed a business in Bangkok specializing in recording, producing and promoting musicians. Called "Tony and Friends Music Company" it books musicians for Hotel and Party functions all over Asia and the Middle East. "Tony and Friends Music Company" has grown into one of Asia’s leading talent agencies. Never one to sit still, Tony saw entertainment business opportunities in the beach resort city of Pattaya.
Moving to Pattaya has been a very rewarding experience for Tony, he has built a successful business and developed a strong community spirit. His concern for homeless animals has grown into a passion and he has opened, and financially supports an animal shelter at Plutaleung, the shelter provides medical attention to homeless animals and helps to place rescued animals in loving homes. Tony's first business venture in Pattaya was to open one of the best and most exciting Nightclubs on the world famous Walking Street, “Tony's Entertainment Complex”. Tony and his band perform regularly in the nightclub, stop in for a beer play some pool, go bowling on the new lanes, listen to some great music and watch a spectacular show.
In 2004 Tony's personal interest in health and fitness lead him to build several amazing Fitness Centers in Pattaya.” Tony's Tennis Club and Fitness Center” “Tony’s gym”, combined with ” Tony’s Muay – Thai Academy”, “Japanese spa and Massage”, all on Pattaya's Third Road. “Tony’s Life Fitness Center” on soi 16, just off Walking street, is right in the heart of Pattaya.
There is a brand new complex opposite the Tennis club, “Tony’s Trade Center”, which combines shops, offices, luxury apartments, a whole floor given over to an extension of the gymnasium, a swimming pool with sun deck, covered, rooftop sports area and “Steak Lao”, a steakhouse restaurant run by “Keo Carabao” ( founding member of Thailands most famous band “Carabao”) . Next to the Trade Center there is the “Lido Motel” with “Pi – Rain” pub / nightclub and beyond that, a shopping mall with food court. In fact, this area of Third road could supply everything you need for the holiday of a lifetime and not even venture beyond the complexes !
