Προσωπική άποψη για ξένες σειρές

Ξεκίνησε στο HBO και το Westworld. Το πρώτο επεισόδιο ήταν πολύ καλό κατ εμέ. Για τους λάτρεις scifi και western.

I think of the red room as a 'waiting room', as the dancing midget puts it, for entrance into either the White or Black lodges, which we likely haven't even seen yet. Think of the white/black zig-zagged floor: the red room is a place where spirits from both the white lodge (giant, Laura) and spirits from the black lodge (BOB) and spirits of ambiguous allegiance (midget, Mike) can meet and interact with each other and visitors from our human world.

Hawk says at some point in the series that before entrance into either lodges, your spirit is tested, and if you show 'imperfect courage', you are destroyed. This is what happens to Cooper: he is tested by the spirits of the waiting room, both good and bad (Laura, BOB, midget, giant, etc.). Each spirit presents their good and bad sides to him (the 'doppelgangers' with blue eyes), to test his courage. Eventually, what cracks Cooper is his fear of Annie being hurt. Not only this, but Cooper also fears his own doppelganger, his own evil side. Because of his guilt for Caroline, Cooper subconsciously suppresses any notion of 'evil' inside of him, so as to protect those close to him (Audrey says to him at one time, "you know the only problem with you? You're perfect"). Note how at all points of the series, Cooper never succumbs to even the slightest of evil; he's always selfless and kind. Because he shows fear at Annie being hurt by his actions in the same way Caroline was, his doppelganger appears to him. When he runs away from the doppelganger/BOB, he shows 'incomplete courage' and is destroyed, allowing BOB to possess his body.

Windom Earle needed Annie to enter the waiting room and later the Black lodge, because you can only enter with either love (White lodge) or fear (Black lodge): Annie's fear allowed him entrance into the waiting room, where he tried to manipulate the supernatural power of the place to his own benefit against Cooper: for this, he was destroyed by BOB (BOB says he is 'not allowed' to ask for Cooper's soul.

Fire Walk With Me confirms a bit of this stuff and adds a ton of other stuff.

Εμένα μου αρέσει πολύ η σειρά The A Word που προβάλλει το BBC. Πολύ διδακτικη και καλοσκηνοθετημενη σειρά, την συνιστώ.
