Juventus will launch their bid for a third successive Scudetto title with an away clash against Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on the first weekend of the 2013/14 Serie A season.
Three months after bringing last term’s triumphant campaign to a close against the Blucerchiati, Antonio Conte’s men will be back in Liguria to make their championship bow on Saturday 24 or Sunday 25 August.
The second fixture, the team’s first of the season at Juventus Stadium, will see the Bianconeri pit their wits against Lazio for a second time in the space of two weeks, following the Italian Super Cup final on Sunday 18 August.
The tough encounters will continue to come thick and fast as Juventus’ following six fixtures see them take on the likes of Inter at the San Siro, Torino at the Stadio Olimpico, Milan at Juventus Stadium and Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi.
“It’s an important start,” said Giuseppe Marotta at the Serie A fixture draw in Milan. “It hasn’t been quite like this over the last three years. But that’s fine.”
Looking further ahead, Conte’s men will play last season’s closest Scudetto challengers Napoli on matchday 12, while Roma are scheduled to travel to Turin on the penultimate weekend before the winter break.
The Bianconeri will conclude their Serie A campaign with a home game against Cagliari on Sunday 18 May.
