COULD GREEK PARL. SPEAKER BLOCK A DEAL?
Zoe Konstantopoulou, speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, is bitterly opposed to the current negotiations saying this weekend “the government is being blackmailed … I could never vote for the contents of the agreement.”
That raises two questions 1) What will she do to slow a rapid debate and approval down (if Tsipras gives provisional agreement)? 2) How quickly can she be replaced, if she does try to delay a debate, and is that really just a pre-cursor for the Syriza-led government’s fall?
